COVID-19 Updates

Dear VACU community –

As COVID-19 continues to spread, there’s nothing more important to us than the well-being of our community. We are working around the clock to take proactive steps to ensure the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff.

For ensuring students complete their classes, our goal across the university is to continue to provide resources to help all of our students accomplish the successful completion of this semester.

Tutorial Week for Distance Learning (for Professors, No classes): 03/30/2020 – 04/04/2020

Classes will be taught remotely through the end of the semester with ZOOM (live streaming service) or MOODLE, beginning Monday, April 6. You are going to have online streaming classes via a ZOOM link on the scheduled time. Attendance will be called at the beginning and end of the class. We are committed to providing the support to help instructors in this effort during the tutorial Week. The school website has resources to assist, and further guidance and tools will be provided.

As many faculty will be adjusting their attendance and academic policies for remote learning, and because your needs in these areas may change as a result of the new learning environment, we recommend that you initiate a conversation with your professors about these accommodations, even if you did this at the beginning of the semester.

We know you still have questions. And we are working diligently to provide the answers, keep you informed, and provide support. Updates are also posted to the website.

Please check your email, telegram or the website (https://vacuniv.org/index.php/distance-learning/) regularly.
